General information only
The content on Age & Sleep Calculator is provided for general informational and educational purposes. It is not professional advice of any kind, and it should not be relied upon as such. Always use your own judgment and, where appropriate, consult a qualified professional.
Age calculator accuracy
The age calculator performs standard calendar arithmetic. We use a documented convention for leap years: someone born on February 29 has their birthday recognized on February 28 in non-leap years when calculating age in years. The calculator reports exact age in years, months, days, and other time units, down to the second when a birth time is provided. These results are mathematically accurate for the calendar conventions described in the FAQ and are exact for those rules — but different conventions (such as using March 1 for leap-day birthdays) can produce slightly different numbers.
The sleep calculator is an estimate
Important: The Sleep Calculator is an estimate. Sleep-cycle recommendations are based on average ~90-minute cycles and typical sleep latencies. Your actual cycles vary from night to night and person to person, so the suggested times are a starting point, not a prescription.
The results are not medical advice and should not be used to diagnose, treat, or manage any condition. If you have concerns about your sleep, or if you regularly struggle to fall asleep or stay awake, please consult a qualified professional such as a physician or a sleep specialist.
Why estimates? Because healthy sleep depends on age, genetics, health, activity, and routine — no calculator can know all of that. The tool's job is to give you a reasonable, cycle-aligned schedule to try. For more on how the math works, see Why 90-minute sleep cycles? in the FAQ.
No professional relationship
Using this site does not create a doctor-patient, therapist-client, or any other professional relationship. The tools cannot know your health history, lifestyle, or medical needs, and nothing here should replace advice from someone who does.
